The furniture and design course teaches students about enhanced design activities and unleashes their creativity. Students learn about a variety of materials, the development of furniture and interior design throughout history, as well as fundamental and advanced design principles in this subject.
Along with reading academic papers, one gains practical expertise. They are given hands-on experience with the materials they will work with in the future in preparation. In classes on furniture and interior design, students acquire information about the subject matter and practical skills.

The learner receives instruction and input on both the theoretical and practical sides of the subject. They are exposed to the history and development of the industry related to the subject in addition to the courses in design process and creative thinking.

The programme is created to give students the skills they need to generate original and creative design solutions and to succeed professionally or independently in the industry.
A M.Des interior and furniture design students will have many opportunities to explore the industry as a set designer, furniture designer, residential/commercial interior design consultant, model maker, kitchen/bar/wardrobe designer, commercial complex and office interior designer, healthcare, interior designer, lighting designer, and sustainable designer.

In order to enroll in the Interior & Furniture Design course at DOT, which has a limited number of seats, we require certain competencies from our students. Such as
