DOT provides ample opportunities for creative minds that have an affinity for fashion. We offer B.Des in Fashion Design, a four-year undergraduate course that deals with the basics of fashion, colour, design, sketching, material procession, and so much more.

A student with a PG diploma in Costume Design from DOT is well equipped to practice as a professional costume designer to independently establish themselves as an entrepreneur or to be placed as an intern under a firm that specializes in costume design. The students are encouraged with a democratic focus on any area of costume design such as Fashion Coordinator, Costume Designer for Films, music videos, plays and events, Fabric Buyer, Fashion Consultant and many more. Through this one-year program students will also gain an increased awareness of freelance practice and self-management techniques
DOT School of Design conducts DOT-DAT (Design Aptitude Test) applicable for students interested to start their Design education at DOT. DOT-DAT comprises two levels –

Any candidate with a keen interest in developing his/her/their skills in costume design are suitable for the program. Through the Diploma program, students gain the skills and the industry connections required to kickstart a lucrative career as a costume designer. Students who want to get more training in costume designing as a hobby are also eligible for this course.

INCO - Industry Connect, which facilitates the students to directly interact & work with the industry professionals.
IRC - Incubation Research Centre, where the students are given 360° guidance to start up their own practice and to be entrepreneurs in this effervescent field.
Fablab - A fully equipped high-tech workspace that is accessible to the students as well as to any designer from the industry. The designers can also enlist the students as interns for their projects.
