UG Diploma in Fashion Design is a one-year course custom-made for individuals from various backgrounds of education who have their interests and skills aligned with fashion and apparel designing. The course is framed in a non-semester pattern. Students get to learn the basic and intermediate skills needed to visualize a concept, convert it into a 2D pattern draft and then further translate it into an actual garment. They will be introduced to the basic idea of design & aesthetics, followed by the intermediate level of skills on conceptualization, exploration, sample development and garment construction. The students will be trained with hands-on practical sessions supported with strong knowledge of the theories of fashion concepts. Students are supposed to finish with a diploma project which showcases the skills & knowledge that they learnt via the course.
