D-Tour is an initiative as a millennium method towards practical teaching. Students are taken to different places in India to understand and explore design through travelling. DOT as a college that educates students with high knowledge about design finds traveling to be the best teacher to explore a student's inner ability to think differently and become more creative and observant in the details of their designs. DOT has already taken students to various cities in India like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Bangalore, Sivakasi, Karaikudi, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Kerala. Students were given interesting activities that would help them explore more about a city. The idea behind D-Tour was to make students understand the definition of the design of cities and learn to be efficacious designers.
